Karma does make down payments
Yes, I know I have stated I will try harder this year to spread random acts of kindness. I will hold true to that. However, I do believe there are exceptions to the rule. If you read this blog, you know there is no love lost between myself and my ex husband. Between all the nasty things he once did, and the stuff he continues to pull, well it’s not as bad as before, but it still exists.
I got a wee bit of revenge yesterday, all without trying. I like to think Karma had a major play in it. She still owes me, so I’ll take yesterday as a down payment. I took my younger son for a walk with me around 4:30 yesterday to the local store, just to pick up some dinner and a few movies. So as we get into the parking lot, lo and behold there is my ex husband sitting in his car on his cell phone. Now, he doesn’t live in the same town as me, but he does work there at times.
Of course, my son ran over so he could tell his father hello, and I let him. I may be evil, but not to my children. The story comes out that the ex’s car has died. Let me tell you, it took all I had not to burst out laughing at him. Even more to keep from saying “neener neener neener”. Let’s face it, this is the same ex who just told the kids that he has to eat leftovers because mommy makes him pay child support.
It was that chuckle I needed after my day from hell. I know, you are probably thinking how can I write about doing good deeds, and then turn around and leave my ex husband stranded? Quite easy is my answer. Of course, he did call me later that evening to tell me he is canceling daddy weekend. He used the excuse he has no food in the house, and the no car thing. Not a problem with me. I have to work this weekend, but luckily not long.
Oh yes, as I stood there in that parking lot thanking Karma, I realized he will have to pay a pretty penny to not only have the car towed, but fixed by Monday as well. Even funnier is he just had a child support payment taken out Friday, right before his car died. So take that Mr. Control freak, and choke on it!
Have a great Saturday, I need to go adjust my halo now.

OOOHhhhh, that is just so wrong. I honestly cannot stand people who take help from someone else, and then take advantage of it.. Good for you for at least giving the try though.
